At CP Renovables, we responsibly take care of the environment. Our projects are oriented towards environmental awareness, reflected in the implementation of green plans that demonstrate our commitment to local flora and fauna.

Sustainability guides every stage of our activities and, along with rigorous environmental management, constitutes one of the fundamental pillars of our business. We operate in a sustainable and responsible manner, exceeding current regulations and driving better practices to minimize our environmental and social impact.

Biodiversity

We work on conservation, reforestation, and adaptive management of grasslands to promote the local natural heritage in our wind farms. We are committed to protecting threatened species that have been surveyed and observed at our sites. Our strategy involves increasing knowledge through the Biodiversity Management and Monitoring Plan (PGMB) as well as working with stakeholders and local actors.

Community Talks

We are committed to improving the quality of life for communities interacting with our projects by providing educational talks at universities, courses, and training sessions. Additionally, we organize meetings and presentations in schools, neighborhood associations, municipalities, among other places. Sustainable Management Plan for Native Forests of the La Castellana Wind Farm

We continue the ecological restoration project in Villarino, Buenos Aires Province, near the La Castellana Park. Our objectives include surveying the characteristics of the site affected by the wind farm, producing seedlings, restoring and monitoring the area with a special focus on Prosopis caldenia (caldén). This project is developed in collaboration with the Environmental Studies Center of Norpatagonia at the National University of Río Negro.

Waste Management

We actively manage waste to reduce its volume, encourage its reuse, and ensure responsible final disposal. During 2022, we improved the segregation and management of recyclable waste across all our operations, as well as the temporary storage facilities. Additionally, we provide training and conduct audits for our suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual and legislative regulations.

Adaptive Biodiversity Management Plans (PGAB)

The PGABs are the tool for addressing potential impacts on biodiversity that may occur in the Wind Farms, and they are based on the hierarchy of mitigation actions, as a prioritized set of possible management responses for anticipated impacts.

Conservation for the Sustaining of Pampean Meadowlark Populations.

In partnership with INTA Bordenave, we developed the “Project Strategies for the Conservation of Leistes defilippii (Pampean Meadowlark) Populations in Critical Areas of Southern Buenos Aires” at the Wind Farms Castellana and Vientos La Genoveva I and II. The main objective of this project is to promote the creation of a Wildlife Corridor with integrated livestock management for the conservation of the Pampean Meadowlark and the protection of its habitat.

Community Collaborations.

We work closely with each municipality and local organizations. Among our main actions, we work on repairing the local access roads to the parks in collaboration with the municipality. Additionally, we have donated fuel to support local firefighters in their daily operations. During the construction phases, we contributed by donating an ambulance to improve emergency services in the community.

of Management

We have an Integrated Management System (IMS) that identifies sustainable and participative processes that allow us to implement, in our daily activities, the principles established by the management in the Integrated Policy on Environment, Quality, Safety, Hygiene and Occupational Health.
